Marc Márquez arrived at Gresini and a molto Ducati in MotoGP this year, after a decade with Repsol Honda. The adaptation seems to have been quick and relatively easy, as he is already a regular presence in the fight for the podium.
In an interview with the championship website, the Spaniard was asked if, after seven rounds, he already feels the Desmosedici GP23 as his bike. In his response, he began by affirming that yes, and for some time:
– Of course I feel very good with the bike. I already said in Jerez, I believe, that I already feel like I am a part of the bike, we are one. Of course, in some tracks I have more difficulties – for example in Le Mans and in Catalunya I had a lot of difficulties on Friday. But in Mugello we understood and on Friday I was competitive from the beginning.
According to Márquez, the challenge now lies in the small details that still need to be mastered: ‘There are still small things to understand, but I already understand how to ride the bike and how to set the race pace. Now it’s all about the small details‘.
