MotoGP continues next weekend in Portugal, with the second round of the world championship taking place at the Algarve International Circuit, where Marc Márquez will show his true potential, now aboard a Ducati, as Sylvain Guintoli believes.
To TNT Sports, the former Suzuki MotoGP test rider, before the manufacturer withdrew, has a lot of experience in various categories and knows #93 very well. He is certain that the rider is taking methodical steps towards showing what he can really do: ‘He still has the approach of wanting to understand the bike, understand the riding style, understand the best balance. He is strong on the brakes and that is something they do not want to lose’.
The Frenchman recalled the Spanish rider’s comments after the season opener in Losail, where Márquez clarified that he wanted to take solid and calculated steps forward, which in a way meant that he did not show everything he had in Qatar, but that… will probably change in the first European round:
