For the second time in his career, Humberto Maier will start from pole position in the Supersport 300 World Championship – after coming out on top in Superpole at Most this Friday.

In the first ten minutes, Beñat Fernández (Team#109 Retro Traffic Kove) stood out most and was leading when the session was red-flagged due to a crash involving four riders at turn 10.

Fernández himself was among those involved, as was Uriel Hidalgo (Zappas-Deza-Box 77 Racing Team/Yamaha), who was taken to the medical centre – where a fractured femur was diagnosed, and he was transported by helicopter to a hospital.

The interruption was brief and, after the restart, David Salvador (Team ProDina XCI) took the lead – six minutes before Maier (Yamaha AD78 FIMLA by MS Racing) set the lap that secured him pole position: 1m46.325s. He beat Salvador by just 22 thousandths, while Julio García (Prodina Kawasaki) was third, 0.093s behind.

Jeffrey Buis (Freudenberg KTM-Paligo Racing), the championship leader, will start only from 11th, having finished 0.518s off pole.
