Honda continues to announce new features for its 2025 models, and the CMX range will also see updates – with new features to the CMX500 Rebel and CMX1100 Rebel, along with the arrival of the personalized special edition CMX1100 SE Rebel Special Edition.
Honda CMX500 Rebel
Compatible with an A2 license, the CMX500 Rebel was the best-selling custom bike in Europe in 2021, 2022, and 2023. Now, the rear will feature a new design to improve handling on rougher surfaces, while the seat has new urethane foam, enhancing rider comfort. The seat height remains at 690 millimeters. The handlebar position has also been adjusted so the rider can sit more naturally and relaxed.
The seat and rear footpegs are designed to easily adapt the bike between carrying a passenger or riding solo: all components are easy to remove, which also facilitates the installation of various optional accessories. These include a rear luggage rack, backrest, tank guards, windscreen, nylon or leather saddlebags, among others.
As for the CMX500 Rebel S Edition, it comes with several factory-installed accessories, such as a headlight cover with a smoked visor, retro fork covers and gaiters, and a seat with a special diamond-stitched cover.
The engine remains the 471cc parallel twin, capable of delivering 34 kW of power and 43.3 Nm of torque, paired with a six-speed gearbox. The steel diamond frame houses a telescopic fork at the front and twin rear shocks.
The braking system, with two-channel ABS, features a front disc with a Nissin radial caliper and two pistons, and a rear disc with a single-piston caliper. The rider will find an LCD instrument panel on board, and the lighting is LED. A new color will be available for the CMX500 Rebel: Mat Dim Gray Metallic. The S Edition will also have a new decoration, in Candy Energy Orange.
Honda CMX1100 Rebel
The three CMX1100 Rebel variants have received updates, particularly in the engine department. The 1,084cc parallel twin now has a higher compression ratio, resulting in stronger low and mid-range power, as well as enhancing the exhaust sound. This engine delivers 65 kW of power and 98 Nm of torque, paired with a six-speed gearbox – manual in the case of the CMX1100 and CMX1100T, and automatic in the CMX1000 DCT, CMX1100T DCT, and CMX1100 SE DCT models.
The Throttle By Wire system offers three pre-set riding modes and a customizable option where parameters like power, engine braking, traction control levels, and the dual-clutch transmission (DCT) program can be adjusted.
Onboard, there’s a new five-inch TFT instrument panel with customizable screens and smartphone connectivity via the Honda RoadSync app.
The riding position has been revised for a more relaxed posture, with the handlebars set further back and higher, while the footpegs are more forward. The seat is 10 mm thicker, maintaining a height of 710 mm.
Common across the entire CMX1100 range, including the Special Edition, are the steel diamond frame, cartridge-style fork, twin piggyback rear shocks, multi-spoke cast aluminum wheels, and the two-channel ABS braking system with a floating disc and four-piston radial caliper at the front, and a single-piston disc at the rear.
In terms of colors, the CMX1100 Rebel will have a new Pearl Hawkseye Blue option, while the CMX1100T Rebel introduces a new Iridium Gray Metallic.
Honda CMX1100SE Rebel
The CMX1100SE Rebel is a factory-customized special edition ready to ride. The differences include a front fairing in the same color, fork covers, and a short, sporty front fender.
It’s the first factory bike from the Japanese manufacturer since the RC213V-S to feature handlebar-end mirrors, along with a distinctive anodised radiator cover and a diamond-stitched seat. It will be available in Flare Orange Metallic and Mat Ballistic Black Metallic.
