The Honda mid-displacement supersport model returns to Europe, aiming to dominate the roads and tracks in this category once again. Its inline four-cylinder engine, 16-valve DOHC, delivers 89 kW at 14,250 rpm and includes an assist/slipper clutch and a standard Quickshifter system. The electronic throttle TBW – derived from the RC213V-S – along with the addition of a 6-axis Bosch IMU, offers 3 predefined riding modes, plus two user modes that the rider can customize to their liking for the engine power, engine braking effect, wheelie control system, and 9-level HSTC traction control system exactly as desired.
Cornering ABS and rear wheel lift control system are also included in the set of electronic driving aids. The chassis consists of an aluminum twin-spar frame, an aluminum swingarm, an electronic Honda steering damper, a 41 mm diameter Showa Big Piston USD fork, and a rear Showa monoshock that works in a Pro-Link system. The two front floating discs have a diameter of 310 mm and four-piston radial calipers.
Designed to offer the best aerodynamic performance in its class, the CBR600RR has an aggressive style with front winglets that increase downforce on the bike. The color TFT screen completes the specification and provides intuitive control.
An HRC competition kit will be available as an option, obviously only for track use. Like all models in Honda’s Supersports family, the 2024 CBR600RR will be available in the Red Tricolor Grand Prix HRC color option and the elegant Matte Metallic Black Ballistic version.
