Valentino Rossi marked an era in MotoGP and secured world titles both with Honda and Yamaha. Now, looking at the current level of both manufacturers, the Italian believes that they have realized they need to improve to return to winning. As for Luca Marini, who moved to Honda, he could be a good help, he believes.
Owner of the Mooney VR46 Racing Team, one of the teams that stood out in this 2023, with the Ducati Desmosedici, addressed the level of the two Japanese constructors, to Sky and how they understood that they have to take a step forward: ‘They and Yamaha understood that they can’t afford to suffer so much, especially with Ducati. They understood that they have to pick up the pace’.
With the concessions allowed to the teams, Rossi believes that, on the Honda side, there will be a very important element that can help them get on the path to victory, none other than his brother, Marini:
– So, next year, Japanese manufacturers will have help, and Marini is a very good test pilot, let’s see.
Marini signed with Honda for two years.
