Giancarlo Morbidelli founded one of the most historically significant and reputable motorcycle manufacturers in the 20th century, particularly known for its successes in motorcycle world championships. Now, the brand is entering a new era under Chinese ownership.
At the beginning of the year, Morbidelli was acquired by Keeway through MBP Moto, which has adopted the name Morbidelli MBP. The brand is now starting to reach more countries with official dealers, including a recent entry into Portugal.
The Italian roots are still present in the current motorcycles, both in design and in the innovation and technology applied to them. One of the models is the C1002V, a cruiser that was one of the first to be available in Europe.
In the naked bike category, Morbidelli offers the M502N, a mid-range bike with KYB suspension and J.Juan brakes, as well as the street fighter F125 – a youthful and dynamic 125 cc bike. It is suitable for A2 driving licenses, as is the N300, which has a 300 cc engine. The NR125X is the quintessential scrambler, featuring a 125 cc engine and spoked wheels, reminiscent of café racers.
Morbidelli also has a range of scooters, including the more classic SC125RE and the sportier SC125 and SC300, which are well-suited for urban traffic. The SC125LX is even more practical, being a high-wheel scooter.
The trail segment is not overlooked by Morbidelli. For beginners, there’s the recently launched T125X, while more experienced riders can opt for the mid-range T502X (500 cc). There’s also the T1002VX, a motorcycle equipped with extensive features and electronics such as electronic throttle, cruise control, and riding modes (shared characteristics with the C1002V). These bikes are ideal for off-road excursions.
