Jorge Lorenzo in statements to DAZN spoke about Marc Márquez’s incredible recovery throughout Sunday’s Le Mans GP race.
The former Spanish rider talked about Marc’s adaptation to Ducati and his speed at the start.
– Marc is very comfortable at the start. He manages the first laps very well, finding opportunities to overtake positions very well. The truth is that it was difficult to match yesterday’s great start, but he did it. And, above all, he had a lot of patience, a lot of coolness to find his rhythm and, little by little, against all odds, catch Pecco and Jorge.
He also added: ‘When you come from such a bad and difficult situation, with so much suffering like Marc, good results, even if they are not victories, feel like victory. Then, the fact that he is the most veteran, that he has been in the World Championship for so many years, can be himself, can be natural. So, when he is happy, it shows. He is not shy, he does what he wants at any time. And the fans realize that. He wants them to have fun and he does it both on and off the track.’
