In recent days, Harley-Davidson has added the new 2024 models to its range and the most important changes relate to the Grand American Touring and, in particular, the new Street Glide and Road Glide. So let’s find out specifically what changes in the Street Glide, probably one of the most representative and recognized American tourers of all time.
The Street Glide – in H-D’s communications, always addressed to men – has been completely redesigned for 2024. This can be seen in the more modern and refined design, which manages to maintain the recognizable characteristics of such an iconic model, but at the same time is clearly the most important aesthetic evolution in its history. Other interventions include:
The Milwaukee-Eight 117 V-Twin engine with 1,923 cc has been updated and features a new cooling system that further optimizes thermal comfort for the rider and optimized intake and exhaust flow to increase performance. The current power is 107 hp/80 kW at 5,020 rpm and, more importantly, 175 Nm at 3,500 rpm. Fuel consumption is 6 liters per 100 km.
The selectable riding modes – Road, Sport, Rain, and Custom – electronically control the motorcycle’s performance characteristics. The information and entertainment technology is managed by Skyline OS through a 12.3-inch color TFT touchscreen display that replaces all analog instruments and most switches. A new 200-watt audio amplifier powers a pair of speakers mounted on the front fairing.
Improved aerodynamics increase driver comfort and reduce the impact of air on the helmet at high speeds by an average of 60%. The rear suspension travel has increased by 76 mm. The redesigned shape of the one-piece seat and the filling materials offer a significant improvement in comfort.
The Street Glide MY 2024 is expected to arrive at Harley-Davidson dealerships in March. You can choose between the chrome or black finish of the two-cylinder engine and exhausts and combine it with eight different and stunning colors.
