The winners of the Custom Bike Show, part of the Italian Bike Week held in Lignano Sabbiadoro from September 12th to 15th, were announced, showcasing a wide variety of motorcycles.
Although the focus was on Adventure and Off-Road bikes, the event had something for everyone. The competition for the Italian Motorcycle Championship was fierce, with over 50 custom bikes being judged by a panel.
The overall winner was the Goddess of Speed, created by Mirko Perugini of Gallery Motorcycles, built around the iconic Harley-Davidson Evolution engine with a 1,340cc displacement. This engine was purposely «aged» to match the classic look of the bike, including exposed valve mechanisms.
Originally designed for the 30th HOG Rally, this custom bike had already won its first prize at the Harley-Davidson Europe event this past June. The design draws inspiration from the world of speed records, featuring an aerodynamic rear fairing, wide forward-bent handlebars, and lenticular wheels – 21 inches at the front and 16 inches at the rear. High-performance components, such as a Brembo radial caliper for the rear brake, were included, with vintage-style decoration by Dox Art Factory.
Harley-Davidson motorcycles also dominated the Cafe Racer and Old Style categories. In Cafe Racer, a Low Special Parts 883 took the win, while in Old Style, the award went to the El Chapo, a Heritage Classic from H-D Bergamo. However, in the Streetfighter category, a Honda Hornet by FTG Moto emerged victorious, and a Honda Shadow 600 from Red House Chopper won in Metric.
In Scrambler, a custom Norton Commando by Grillo took the prize, and a Yamaha Super Ténéré from Punto Moto Factory Bike won in Adventure. The Freestyle category crowned the S&S Knickrammen by Stefan B, and in the Modified H-D (Harley-Davidson modified) category, a custom from Ramses Garage based on the Heritage Softail took the win.
