In a strategic move to expand its presence in the electric vehicle market, the JAP Group has entered into an exclusive partnership with the Foton Motor Group, assuming the position of official importer of the Chinese manufacturer in Portugal.
Following the agreement now established, the JAP Group will be responsible for the importation, distribution, and technical assistance of the innovative Light Commercial Vehicles (LCV) from FOTON, which will enter the national market by 2024.
This partnership not only strengthens Portugal’s electric mobility infrastructure but also aligns with national objectives for reducing emissions and efficient energy transition.
The agreement marks the beginning of a new era for electric mobility in the light commercial vehicles segment, positioning the JAP Group at the forefront of sustainable transport solutions, reinforcing the sustainability strategy that the Group has actively implemented over the past years.
At the contract signing, Jan Oehmicke, Administrator of the JAP Group, expressed excitement about the opportunity to represent the FOTON brand in Portugal: “This partnership is a significant milestone in our sustainability strategy and reaffirms our commitment to innovation and leadership in the electric mobility segment.”
A FOTON, globally recognized for its leadership in innovation and sustainability, finds in Grupo JAP the ideal partner to expand its presence in the Portuguese market. “The partnership with Grupo JAP represents another important step in FOTON’s implementation strategy in Europe.
