Johann Zarco was one of the victims of the incidents that occurred at the Jerez GP. In addition to the incident, Zarco was one of the riders who complained to the race direction and, attacked Freddie Spencer, the President of the FIM Stewards Panel in quite controversial statements.
– ‘I went to Race Direction and Freddie Spencer was watching the action with us. And he seemed to be looking at me as if he wanted to know what I wanted. He wanted me to complain about Aleix. I said: “I’m not going to complain”, but I told him that he is not good for this job because he does not make the right decisions at the right times.’
In response to the statements of the French rider, the Grand Prix Commission reacted to the comments about Freddie Spencer on Monday.
– ‘Several decisions have been made in all categories to ensure better respect for the hierarchy of disciplinary bodies and to redefine the authority and competence of the FIM appeals stewards.’
