After a very complicated start to the season, with an injury that kept him out of several rounds, Enea Bastianini finally showed a glimpse of what earned him his move to the Ducati factory team last weekend in Sepang, which earned him many kind words from Gigi Dall’Igna.
The General Manager of Ducati Corse looked at this weekend, praising the Italian on his Linkedin account: ‘Finally, Enea! A wonderful victory, a moment of pure joy for the whole Team! The best way to leave your mark after a season marked by physical and technical difficulties: a phenomenal race like he knows how to do and of which we have always been sure, even in the most difficult moments’.
Bastianini’s performance deserved more kind words from the Italian director: ‘With all his desire to be a protagonist among protagonists again, with all the strength and determination to immediately take the lead in the race and set a fast pace, and then extend that lead, managing it like a seasoned champion: I am happy for him. A pure talent, who returns overwhelmingly to the spotlight and dominates a GP that was more difficult than it may have seemed, with the heat imposing its strenuous conditions.’
#23 is 15th in the championship with 76 points accumulated so far.
