The day was full of news for Ducati, with the Italian team having its presentation, and the General Director of Ducati Corse addressing various issues, and showing above all that he was satisfied with the lineup of riders in the various classes.
At the manufacturer’s presentation – with the MotoGP, WSBK, and Motocross teams – Gigi Dall’Igna began by recalling part of last year’s successes: ‘I am very pleased to be back in Madonna di Campiglio to present our MotoGP and WorldSBK teams as World Champions. 2023 was a truly unforgettable year and now we are here to start the new season and embrace the challenges we have ahead in 2024’, before continuing:
– In MotoGP, the Ducati Lenovo Team will have World Champion Pecco Bagnaia alongside Enea Bastianini. Unfortunately, Bastianini was unable to show his full potential last year due to several injuries, but we are optimistic about his performance this season. In Superbikes, the Aruba.it Racing – Ducati team, led by Álvaro Bautista on the Panigale V4 R with the number #1, will also field the current Supersport World Champion, Nicolò Bulega, who is making his debut in the category.
Satisfied with the selection of riders, Dall’Igna expects a lot from all the teams in the various categories: ‘We couldn’t have asked for a better lineup to face the challenges of this intense 2024 season in both World Championships. We are aware that other manufacturers are working hard and I foresee an even higher level of competition. However, I am confident that, thanks to the dedication of the Ducati Corse team during this short winter break, we will be well prepared to defend the titles we won last season’.
