The new season of the MXGP Motocross World Championship is almost here and Red Bull GasGas Factory Racing has already presented its team. The team will defend last year’s title with Jorge Prado, while in the MX2 category they will have Simon Längenfelder, who finished third in the last two seasons, and newcomer Marc-Antoine Rossi.
This year, Prado has already competed in some rounds of the AMA Supercross in the United States of America and is now focused on the MXGP with tests and planned races in the preparation phase before the MXGP of Patagonia Argentina on March 10. Längenfelder, at 20 years old, is a certainty in the MX2 category and will go for the title after podium finishes in the last two championships. Rossi, on the other hand, is an absolute newcomer to the World Championships, having competed in the EMX250 European Championship last year and made his first wildcard participation in the MX2 – he finished eighth and sixth in the MXGP of France.
Davide De Carli, team manager of Red Bull GasGas, said in a statement: ‘Looking at the 2024 season, the feeling within Red Bull GasGas Factory Racing is very good. Having Jorge, our current MXGP champion, together with the talent of Simon Längenfelder in the MX2, and welcoming the fresh energy of our new signing, Marc-Antoine Rossi, in the MX2, we are excited for an extraordinary year. Each rider brings us a unique strength and determination to the team, and together we share a common goal: to bring speed, defend our titles, and reach new heights. We have prepared very thoroughly, everyone is feeling in the best conditions. The competition is tough, but we are more than prepared‘.
