The Red Bull KTM Factory Racing team finished the last GP of the Americas with both riders taking home some points, but the team struggled a bit and ended far from what they had already shown this season, with Francesco Guidotti admitting that this was to be expected.
The KTM Team Manager was pleased that, despite some issues, both team riders were able to finish within the points: ‘We knew this GP was going to be tough! Jack [Miller] started very well, but lost sensitivity and crashed. The first half of the race was fantastic, fighting in the front group and we need to analyze what happened. Brad [Binder] started very well from the sixth row, but had that contact in the first corner and lost some fairing. He didn’t have the best race conditions, but he recovered positions and brought home some points’.
Attention now turns to the return to European races, with Spain hosting the fourth round of the world championship within a week, where KTM hopes to have a good performance… and not forgetting Pedro Acosta: ‘We are looking forward to Jerez because there are many signs that the bike is working well – we saw it with Pedro – and we believe he will have another high-level performance’.
