About a week and a half ago, Francesco Bagnaia returned to victory at the Spanish MotoGP Grand Prix. Now comes the French GP in Le Mans, where the 2022 and 2023 champion can attack the championship lead.
The Ducati rider ensured he is highly confident for this fifth round of the year: ‘After the last weekend of competition in Jerez and the test, I arrive in Le Mans very confident. There are all the conditions for us to be fast from the start‘.
Bagnaia emphasized his usual competitiveness in Le Mans and ensured he will strive to be prepared for any scenario:
– We have always been competitive in France, and even in last year’s race we had a good pace and were fighting for the win. Unfortunately, I was unlucky and had to retire due to a crash after being hit by another rider. The only big unknown, as always, will be the weather, but in any case we will work to be prepared to face any conditions.
Currently with 75 points, the Ducati man is in second place in the championship, 17 points behind the leader, Jorge Martín (Prima Pramac/Ducati).
