Francesco Bagnaia faces one of his home rounds of the MotoGP season this weekend – the Italian GP. The Ducati rider arrives at Mugello after returning to victory, being 39 points behind championship leader Jorge Martín (Prima Pramac/Ducati).
The 2022 and 2023 champion started by saying in a statement: ‘Competing at Mugello is an indescribable emotion, and being able to count on the warmth of Italian fans and Ducati on track makes this event even more amazing‘.
In addition to the victory in the previous round, Bagnaia was also the winner of the Italian GP in 2022 and 2023, not hiding that he intends to continue this streak:
– The two victories obtained here in the last two years were more beautiful than the others, and I dream of being able to do it again this year. On Sunday at the Italian GP it will be even more special, as we will be using the same colors as the national team [of soccer]. I’m excited and can’t wait to hit the track!
