Dani Pedrosa, test rider for Red Bull KTM Factory Racing and commentator on DAZN, spoke about Maverick Viñales’ race at the Americas GP, praising the Spanish rider from Aprilia Racing and adding that Aprilia is in a very favorable position to compete for the MotoGP world championship.
In statements on DAZN, Pedrosa said: ‘For Maverick, it is a day he will remember for a long time, because this victory after the change from Yamaha, the way he left Yamaha, they took him to Aprilia, it was difficult for him to find this form, but he is really in a scary state’.
He also added, detailing Viñales’ driving throughout Sunday’s race.
– ‘I saw a very strong Maverick on entry and exit of corners. In some corners he was much faster than his rivals and that allowed him to exit the corner with so much speed that he was almost parallel to his rivals on braking and that confidence when you feel like you can do whatever you want with the bike, then you let go and you get the overtakes he made today.’
