There are two rounds left in the MotoGP season and one thing is certain: the title fight will be between Francesco Bagnaia and Jorge Martín, who already know they will finish in one of the top two positions.
There are 74 points up for grabs until the end of the season. Marco Bezzecchi (Mooney VR46 Racing Team/Ducati) is currently in third place, 75 points behind second-placed Martín (Prima Pramac/Ducati) – meaning he can no longer improve his position.
In the title fight, the situation is almost the same as before the Malaysian GP. Bagnaia (Ducati) has only gained one point on Martín, now holding a 14-point lead.
Bezzecchi, in third, is also close to securing the final podium spot, with a 69-point gap to fourth-placed Brad Binder (Red Bull KTM). Johann Zarco (Prima Pramac/Ducati) has reclaimed fifth place, now two points ahead of Aleix Espargaró (Aprilia).
Fabio Quartararo continues to be the best of Monster Energy Yamaha in ninth, while the best Honda rider is Marc Márquez (Repsol Honda) in 14th. As for Miguel Oliveira (CryptoDATA RNF MotoGP Team/Aprilia), after a round without scoring points with retirement in the main race, the Portuguese rider was overtaken by Enea Bastianini (Ducati) and is now 16th.
