There was no official announcement, but Fermín Aldeguer may have signed a contract with Ducati – which includes a promotion to MotoGP next year.
The 18-year-old rider has impressed in Moto2 – where, last season, he finished with four wins in the last four races, positioning himself as one of the strongest contenders for the title in 2024.
According to the newspaper El Periodico, Aldeguer was at Ducati’s headquarters last week to sign the contract – with the manufacturer wanting to prevent any surprises or uncertainties.
Prima Pramac could be the destination for the Spaniard in 2025, where Jorge Martín wants to make the leap to the factory team or, alternatively, explore options with other manufacturers. Gresini and VR46 could also have open spots for next year, as neither of them have any of their riders contracted. However, VR46 admitted that they may join forces with another manufacturer.
