Fermín Aldeguer was announced last week as a MotoGP rider starting from 2025. He is expected to start at Prima Pramac Racing, but his contract is directly with Ducati.
The champion of the last two years, Francesco Bagnaia, competes for the Borgo Panigale manufacturer and, in a press conference, was asked to comment on what he expects from the young Spanish rider. The Italian stated:
– I think Fermín is one of the fastest riders of the new generation. I believe that last year he did fantastic things in the final part of the season. There was a race last year where he impressed me a lot in qualifying – it was at Phillip Island, he set a lap time that two or three years ago would have been decent in MotoGP, something like second or third row. So, it was amazing. And I think if he and his group stay calm and just try to do everything step by step, he can do a really good job, without any pressure. He has the potential to be strong.
