Despite recognizing that he was not going to start the Sprint race in a good position, Fabio Quartararo admitted today, after the Sprint race was canceled, that he was curious to see how he would perform, even though the conditions were not the best.
In a statement to the team, the French rider said: ‘The weather conditions did not allow us to race today at Phillip Island, which is a shame because it is a circuit that I really like and I am always very happy to be here. It is true that this weekend we did not start in the best position for the Race, but I would have liked to see our potential in the Sprint’.
He then assured that when he returns to racing, he will give his best: ‘Anyway, the weather conditions did not allow it. I am very sorry for the fans who came to see us and I want to thank them for their support. Next year, we will return and try to give our best’.
