Competing at home, Fabio Quartararo tried everything to achieve a good result in front of the French fans at the French MotoGP Grand Prix. Despite the shortcomings of the Yamaha YZR-M1, he managed to fight in the top ten, finishing eighth in the Sprint race and was in the top five of the main race until he crashed on lap 17.
Despite being one of the best performances of Monster Energy Yamaha this season, Álex Rins is not impressed with what his teammate did in Le Mans. According to the Spanish rider, the problems persist and the good results are still far away:
– Well, if you ask me, incredible results are the positions at the front. Fabio was great this weekend, but we both still have the same problems. So I wouldn’t say he had incredible results this weekend. We are going in the same direction, working to improve the bike, and that’s it.
Rins also spoke about the data exchange with Quartararo: ‘It is true that I am looking at his data, he is looking at mine. I can see some points where I am faster than him, some points where I am slower than him. But we have a lot of room for improvement‘.
