Needing to make considerable progress, Yamaha tested various materials at Monday’s test in Jerez. The Iwata manufacturer is committed to returning to top results in MotoGP after the decline of recent years.
Asked whether he will keep some of the solutions now tested at the next Grand Prix in France, Fabio Quartararo confirmed that it is a strong possibility, even to see how the sensations are on different circuits:
– I think we will use some items we tested here because it is always better to test on different tracks, and for Le Mans I believe we will use some things. I don’t think it’s bad and I think it will be interesting to see what my feeling is on three different tracks. And especially because Le Mans and Mugello are completely different from here, so it will be interesting.
Currently, Quartararo is in 12th place in the championship. His best result so far is seventh place in the Portuguese GP, but in the Spanish GP he managed to be fifth in the Sprint race – he crossed the finish line in third, but was penalized for tire pressure infringement.
