Fabio Quartararo may have abandoned the French MotoGP, but until the incident that determined the outcome he had a good pace, fighting in the top ten – which he has only managed once this year.
It is in this context that the Monster Energy Yamaha rider now faces the Catalunya GP… arriving in Barcelona with news on the Yamaha YZR-M1, as he told:
– After the private test in Mugello, we established a version of the aerodynamics that we will try to use here this weekend. I am interested to see how it will be. We will certainly do our best, as always.
With motivation high, Quartararo arrives in Barcelona convinced that he has made progress, aiming to continue the good moment he had in France: ‘It is a GP sponsored by Monster Energy, so the team is fully motivated. Barcelona is also one of my favorite circuits – I have had some very good races here, especially in 2022. We progressed with the setup in Le Mans, so let’s see if we can achieve some good results this weekend‘.
In his previous five seasons in MotoGP, Quartararo obtained two victories and a podium in Barcelona, being on that same circuit that he won for the first time in a world championship in 2018 when he was in Moto2.
