The past years have been tough for Monster Energy Yamaha and Fabio Quartararo in MotoGP. After the 2021 title, the loss of competitiveness was evident from mid-last year. And in the season that ended in November, he had three third places as his best results.
A scenario that caused frustration, for which the rider sought professional help, as he revealed in an official MotoGP podcast: ‘Working with a psychologist helped me both in life and in my relationship with the mechanics. I never disrespected anyone, but raising my voice doesn’t help with understanding’.
Quartararo later said: ‘You have to know how to identify what doesn’t work. It’s not enough to complain because then the people who have to work on the bike don’t know where to make changes. It’s important to identify the weak points, whether it’s the corners, the braking, or the grip. This is one of the lessons I’ve learned and it has allowed me to maintain a positive approach even in critical situations’.
