The first round of the season is almost here and it will happen again in Qatar, the track where MotoGP riders were in the last tests. Fabio Di Giannantonio, who debuted with victories in Losail last season, wants to be in the fight again, but sees Francesco Bagnaia in very good shape.
Asked about what is to come in a race and about people who think he can repeat the result, the rider replied: ‘It’s not strange. I always say that pressure is for the privileged, because it means we are capable of doing it, and I love this pressure, this kind of pressure, but we also have to be realistic. Right now, it seems that the factory guys have something more, they seem to be in great shape, super strong, especially Pecco [Bagnaia]’.
Still, his desire is to be well, competitive and fighting for the podium, he assured: ‘Anyway, I think we are in a good position, where we can fight for the podium at the moment, so I will try and then we’ll see’.
This will be his third season in MotoGP, the first with the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team, after two years with Gresini Racing.
