Marco Bezzecchi was one of the main MotoGP riders in 2023, finishing the championship in third place overall, but he is not having an easy time this year, having been beaten by his teammate Fabio Di Giannantonio for the second time in three rounds. Still, DiGia ensures that he is not focused on beating his teammate, but rather on making the most of himself.
After Sunday’s race in Austin, where he finished sixth, #49 told the press that he is not focused on being the best in the team, as he knows he has the potential to win races, he emphasized: ‘It’s not something I look at much, honestly, because I’m more focused on trying to be the best DiGia possible. Because I believe the best DiGia possible can win races’.
He then assured that he has a good relationship with his partner from the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team: ‘Also with Bez, we talk a lot. When we have time to share comments, we share comments. So, honestly, we are working together. So, at this moment, it is not important to think about the teammate’.
DiGia is ninth in the standings, with 25 points, five more than Bezzecchi, who is in 11th place.
