The engine is always (or almost always) the main focus, but the way everything else reacts to the beating of the motorcycle’s heart is extremely important. That’s why Voge didn’t want to neglect the chassis, equipping this model with a 41mm inverted fork at the front, with 151mm of travel, very useful for off-road excursions – but we’ll get to that later. At the rear, we have a mono-shock with linkages, which, although not adjustable, behaves quite well on any type of surface, just like the front suspension. On the road, the suspensions offer a good compromise between the sensations they transmit and comfort, although we quickly realize their limit, which I consider positive, as we don’t lose sensitivity to what is happening beneath us, even when we reach the maximum potential of the front and rear.
Off-road, we can count on a similar behavior and there we realize that the Voge 525 ACX has its limitations, with the suspension being quite soft, but with good travel, which allows, on one hand, for more comfortable rides on the way to the beach, but limits what we can do with this motorcycle on rough terrain. But that’s what a scrambler motorcycle is, right? With mixed tires – in this case the Metzeler Tourance, which pleased us both on and off the road – comfortable riding position, spoked wheels with a 19″ front wheel, and a satisfactory capacity to travel a good distance on unpaved roads to the beaches of Costa da Caparica, with the possibility of taking some slide photos along the way. What more do we need? Well, it could be a rhetorical question, but in this case it’s not. For the Voge 525 ACX, it is necessary to review the front braking system, which, despite having two floating discs of 298mm, proved to be not very biting and not in line with the rest of the package. The switchable ABS on the rear wheel would also be a welcome addition, considering the characteristics of this motorcycle.

CONSISTENT EQUIPMENT
As mentioned at the beginning of this text, Chinese motorcycles are quite different and, notably, Voge possesses certain characteristics that are common to practically all of its models. The 525 ACX is no exception and, in addition to the round optics at the front that characterize all the classic models of the Chinese brand, this Voge also features a 7″ TFT panel, offering Bluetooth connectivity, two display modes, and a lot of well-organized information. We would only like a more intuitive and faster navigation, something that has been a common point in all Voge models. This model also features full LED lighting, a USB socket at the front, and a standard tire pressure sensor. In addition to the technological features, Voge has also equipped this 525 ACX with a small deflector at the front – which may have been just a placebo, but it honestly seemed to make a small difference – and a high “two-in-one” exhaust, which immediately reveals that we are dealing with a scrambler motorcycle due to its style, and compliant with EURO5 regulations due to the huge size of the silencer.
BEAUTIFUL AND HONEST
Tastes can’t be argued, it’s true. However, it can be said that this Voge 525 ACX stands out for its clearly evident scrambler style, but also for unique details such as the huge yellow “X” on the fuel tank and a well-designed rear light on the slim rear of the motorcycle. Mechanically, this model pleased us a lot because it gives the sensation that everything is well aligned and built, with quality and the ability to last for many years. Small details need to be fine-tuned and definitely braking will be the most important aspect. At the end of the day, the Voge 525 ACX is an honest motorcycle that does not compromise and truly delivers what it promises. With all its features and the ability to be ridden with an A2 license, this motorcycle is a serious proposal that should not be looked down upon by the competition.
