Eric Granado led this morning’s first MotoE World Championship practice session at Mugello. The Italian GP is the fifth round of the electric motorcycle championship season.
In the first five minutes, four riders took turns leading: Massimo Roccoli (Ongetta SIC58 Squadra Corse), Andrea Mantovani (Klint Forward), Nicholas Spinelli (Tech3 E-Racing), and Alessio Finello, who was at the top of the standings after all the initial flying laps.
Mantovani reclaimed the top spot, holding it for about four minutes before being overtaken by Mattia Casadei (Felo Gresini)… who, 11 seconds later, saw Alessandro Zaccone (Tech3 E-Racing) go faster.
In their final flying laps, Granado (LCR E-Team) rose to the top of the standings, setting the fastest time at 1m57.873s. Miquel Pons (Axxis-MSi) was second, 0.072s behind, followed by Héctor Garzó (Dynavolt Intact GP).
Finello and Zaccone rounded out the top five in a session where three riders exceeded 105 percent of the best lap time: Chaz Davies (Aruba Cloud MotoE), María Herrera (Klint Forward), and Armando Pontone (Aruba Cloud MotoE).
