The year 2024 promises a lot, and one of the riders who has the highest expectations is Enea Bastianini, but the rider assures that he is prepared for the attack on the new season, even though he is fully aware that he has to work hard and pay attention to detail.
In the team presentation, #23 talked about the first impression with the new Desmosedici: ‘When I sat on the new bike in Valencia, I felt comfortable, very comfortable. It was a small change but I felt the difference between this bike and last year’s bike. I think in Sepang we will have even more fun, not knowing what the future holds for us’.
When asked if he is ready for the start of the season and to be closer to Pecco Bagnaia, after showing more of his true value at the end of 2023, Bastianini replied: ‘I think I have to test more. Last year I didn’t have the opportunity to be in the tests, to test, and I was given a bike that was already prepared, I couldn’t test it as I would have liked but now, nowadays, we have to work on the details and those are what make the difference and that’s why I want to test more. Physically I feel good, prepared and I am completely motivated’.
In 2024, Bastianini will have a new opportunity to defend a factory seat, once again with the threat of Jorge Martín and… Marc Márquez. Marco Bezzecchi has also expressed a desire to be in the factory team in the near future.
