After seven successful years, the DRE Adventure format returns in 2024 with four events on the Ducati Riding Academy calendar. The DRE Adventure course is dedicated to adventure motorcycling enthusiasts who want to refine the secrets of road and off-road driving, testing the qualities of Ducati motorcycles in charming Italian settings and combining learning with a total immersion in Italian reality of culture, art, geography, and relaxation.
All 2024 DRE Adventure events will be based at the new location set in the stunning mountain scenery of Umbria, at the Park Hotel ai Cappuccini. The building, a former 17th-century convent located in the center of Gubbio (PG), also offers the opportunity to spend a few relaxed days and the possibility to explore the region and its traditions.
The courses will take place with the Multistrada V4 S, Multistrada V4 Rally, and DesertX, to which the new DesertX Rally joins, protagonist of the third episode of Ducati World Premiere 2024.
The new DesertX Rally is the ideal bike for rally enthusiasts or the world of adventure motorcycles who appreciate the benefits of professional components capable of improving the abilities of both more or less experienced riders. The DesertX Rally expands Borgo Panigale’s offerings for off-road, completing the range of Ducati twin-cylinder adventure bikes, which was already very strong with the Multistrada V2 and DesertX. The latter was designed for those seeking the best balance between Ducati’s on-road performance and the ability to tackle any type of terrain.
The DRE Adventure format is characterized by an extensive program consisting of driving instruction combined with a charming ride surrounded by the vast greenery of the region, where you can appreciate the dynamic characteristics of Ducati motorcycles on various terrains. Thanks to a team of high-level instructors, the course gives motorcyclists the opportunity to discover the secrets of the adventure motorcycle world: from the correct riding position, to learning the most efficient off-road techniques, to technical and logistical advice on trip preparation and managing unexpected eventualities that may occur during a journey. In addition, thanks to extensive customization capabilities for seats and suspension, with different solutions for raising or lowering, each motorcycle used in DRE Adventure courses can be adapted to the characteristics of each participant. The DRE Adventure program is divided into two days. The first takes place at Villa Benveduti, an elegant 18th century villa surrounded by the lush countryside scenery of Gubbio, dedicated to getting to know the bike and practicing exercises to gain the necessary confidence in off-road driving, in the school fields that are prepared for this purpose. The second day includes a ride with sections of road and off-road, allowing riders to put into practice everything they learned the previous day at school and continue learning new driving techniques. There will be four dates available in 2024: the first two in June (11-12 and 13-14 June) followed by two more in October (30 September – 1 October and 2-3 October). The team of excellent instructors has always been one of the strong points of DRE events. The DRE Adventure is an integral part of the Ducati Riding Academy program, an activity that has achieved a complete offering, unparalleled in the world of two wheels and that in twenty years of activity has trained over 30,000 enthusiasts. In the case of the DRE Adventure team, led by Matteo Graziani (professional rider, winner of 59 Italian Motorally championships and protagonist of about 30 international rallies), it is made up of experienced riders, mainly in the adventure motorcycle sector.
