The Ducati Panigale V4 R and the Ducati Panigale V2 have been competing in the WorldSBK and WorldSSP Championships since 2019 and 2022, respectively, and over these years they have been constantly improved thanks to the work carried out in synergy by the technicians of Ducati and Ducati Corse. The result achieved is the consequence of a specific company philosophy, which promotes the continuous exchange of information and technologies in order to contribute to the best sporting results and, at the same time, establishes the work objectives so that these models can offer enthusiasts the best driving experiences.
In the 2023 season, the dominance of the Panigale V4 R and the Panigale V2 was evident to all. In WorldSBK, the Red bikes from Borgo Panigale achieved at least one victory in every round of the World Championship, managing a total of 25 wins, with 42 podiums in 33 races. In WorldSSP, the dominance was very similar, with Ducati riders reaching the top step of the podium 15 times (14 of which with World Champion Nicolò Bulega) and being able to finish in the top 3 on 30 occasions in 22 races.
The Panigale V4 is the motorcycle in which Ducati transferred MotoGP technology to its super sport production bikes. Its counter-rotating crankshaft engine, desmodromic distribution, electronic equipment, and aerodynamics derive from solutions that Ducati Corse developed for competition prototypes. The Panigale V4 R, in particular, was presented at the Ducati World Première 2023, and was the first to introduce refined competition solutions to serial production, reaching 16,500 rpm and delivering 237 hp in track configuration. The Panigale V2 is the heir of Ducati’s great tradition in twin-cylinder machines. Its Superquadro engine, monocoque frame, and single-sided aluminum swingarm are solutions introduced with the 1199 Panigale, winner of the prestigious Compasso d’Oro 2014 due to its ‘technical elegance’: a truly magical combination of sophisticated technology and beauty that is unique in the world. Fast on the track thanks to its 155 hp and dry weight of 176 kg, it is also pleasant and safe on the road due to its electronic equipment. The Panigale V2 represents the perfect synthesis between power and elegance.
