As if being “Unique” wasn’t enough, a Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak was turned upside down through the Ducati Unica project. The owner is Massimo Bottura, director of Osteria Francescana, a restaurant twice awarded first place in “The World’s 50 Best Restaurants”.
From the bond that unites Ducati and the world-famous chef, as well as a great motorsport enthusiast, a new creation emerges: the Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak Desert, the result of the union between Chef Bottura’s artistic vision and Ducati’s attention to detail.
The bike is part of the Ducati Unica customization program: launched by the company in Borgo Panigale in January 2022, this program allows Ducatisti to create the bike of their dreams, interacting directly with the designers of the Ducati Style Centre and having access to exquisite materials, exclusive finishes, and special colors.
The Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak Desert was conceived from an aesthetic point of view with meticulous paintwork that gives it a unique look, as if the motorcycle had just come out of a desert adventure. This unique appearance is achieved through the use of a special type of paint with a “sand effect” that was applied to various parts of the motorcycle, including the fenders, hand guards, mudguards, and wheels. Other elements have also been redefined to make the Pikes Peak Desert even more elegant: the Alcantara seat echoes the main tones of the motorcycle, as well as exquisite work on the brake calipers, engine crankcase, shock absorber spring, and exhaust, which features a special Akrapovič silencer made specifically for this model.
