The future of Marc Márquez in MotoGP is already confirmed, but speculation persists. Now, the focus is on the contractual terms that lead him to Gresini.
Sources in the paddock tell Motorcycle Sports that the Spaniard will have an agreement to have a factory bike at Gresini, with a contract of only one year. And the connection to Honda will not end completely.
The same rumors suggest that the Japanese manufacturer will continue to pay Márquez the rights to merchandise and image – in a kind of agreement where Honda could in some way have a plan to “spy” on the Ducati bike, considered the strongest currently.
Naturally, this speculation should be taken with caution. The Borgo Panigale manufacturer has already stated that they only have the capacity to have four factory bikes – those of the official team and Prima Pramac.
However, it is also true that with Márquez comes media attention and possible large sums from sponsors, which could make a fifth current Desmosedici GP viable in 2024.
