Ducati has no shortage of race replicas in its catalog, but the one we present to you today is perhaps one of the lesser-known. It is still extremely special and yet not eye-catching.
It is a 750 F1 Montjuich, one of a series of hand-built race representatives celebrating the Italian brand’s endurance race victories.
In addition to the Montjuich, named after the Barcelona street circuit in Spain, there were also the Santamonica and Laguna Seca.
Only 200 Montjuich models were produced, and it is assumed that not all of them still exist today. This is therefore a very rare opportunity to acquire a very special Ducati when it goes on sale on April 20.
Its overhauled engine features redesigned crankcases, a more robust gearbox, enlarged intake ports, larger carburetors, and more efficient camshafts. And a Verlicchi competition exhaust that Bonhams describes as “extremely loud.”
