Nicolò Bulega is very close to becoming the Supersport world champion. This weekend he won both races at MotorLand Aragón, which puts him in a position to clinch the title in the next round in Portimão.
Yesterday, after securing pole position, the man from Aruba.it Ducati led from start to finish. Without giving any chances to his rivals, he crossed the finish line with a 3.581s lead. The battle for second place was considerably more animated. Marcel Schrötter (MV Agusta) came out on top after overtaking Stefano Manzi (Ten Kate Racing Yamaha) on the 13th lap. The Italian lost more positions with a run through the gravel, finishing only in 11th place, and Yari Montella (Barni Spark Racing Team/Ducati) closed out the podium.
Starting from pole position again, Bulega once again dominated and led from start to finish in the second race this Sunday. After one lap, he already had a lead of over a second, stabilizing around two seconds afterwards. Manzi was always his main rival, finishing 2.160s behind. The #62 came out on top in a battle with Federico Caricasulo (Althea Racing/Ducati), but the positions remained stable for most of the race. Bahattin Sofuoglu (MV Agusta) and Schrötter completed the top five.
