Álex Rins said goodbye to the Qatar GP with a 16th place, behind Miguel Oliveira, and admitted that there were positive points this Sunday despite having also ‘suffered’ a lot.
‘We suffered a lot in this race. We tried to do our best and honestly I was going from the bottom to the top, improving lap by lap, I was feeling better until reaching the top 11, 12, behind Fabio [Quartararo], behind Johann [Zarco],’ said the Yamaha rider, who then reported having many problems on the right side due to the stronger deterioration on the rear tire:‘After six laps and until the end I couldn’t hold the bike, the right side of the tire was destroyed and I started to lose many many seconds because in the right turns I couldn’t make the angle’.
And he concluded:‘However, there were some positive things from this race for the future, and I am looking forward to the next race’.
