In recent months, there has been a surprising departure from Ducati in MotoGP: Max Bartolini, close to the top management of the Borgo Panigale team, has decided to accept a new challenge and a more relevant position at Monster Energy Yamaha.
Davide Tardozzi, team manager of Ducati, told the website Motosan.es that it is a heartfelt departure in Bologna, considering Bartolini’s quality. However, he emphasized that Ducati is not just one person:
– I worked 20 years with Massimo. His departure is a blow to the heart, he is a friend, we are very close. I think Yamaha made an incredible move, but I believe Ducati is stronger despite this. Max is a very important person for us. […] Ducati is more than just one person, it’s not just one person. I note that there are few as good as Max in this paddock, he is very good.
