The GASGAS Aspar Team revealed today who will make up their team in Moto3, by promoting the continuity of David Alonso, while also introducing Joel Esteban to the category. Both riders were naturally very happy about what 2024 will bring.
David Alonso: ‘It will be my seventh year with the GASGAS Aspar team and, since 2018, we have achieved many things together. I am very happy to have their trust and that is important when it comes to our goals and our work, because they feel like a second family to me. Thinking about the next season already excites me because I know we can set new goals and we will have many races ahead to enjoy together. We will have a season of experience and, for 2024, that means we can aim to race at the front more regularly and try to be competitive every Grand Prix weekend to fight for the championship’.
Esteban, who is preparing to make his debut in the category, said: ‘I am very happy to arrive at the world championship and to do it with the GASGAS Aspar Team; a group that believed in me since I was racing in the European Talent Cup. It is a dream that I have been pursuing since I started racing and, thanks to a foundation of effort and work, I have been able to achieve it. I want to thank Jorge Martinez, Nico Terol and the whole team for trusting in me and I hope we can start working as soon as possible’.
