Danilo Petrucci is still recovering from serious injuries following an accident while training in April, but he remains attentive to the current events in motorcycling – and particularly, also, in MotoGP. And this was a topic in an interview with MOW Mag, where he confessed to being an admirer of Jorge Martín and made a suggestion to Ducati.
Regarding Jorge Martín: ‘I think Martín deserves a factory bike. […]. I would put Martín in the factory team‘.
Regarding Marc Márquez: ‘I would give Márquez a factory bike, but I would be more concerned about putting all these riders against each other. It could be problematic for the championship‘.
The new regulations for 2027: ‘They will certainly be a step forward, but I don’t know exactly what the effects will be. […]. But I am still optimistic about MotoGP, also considering the acquisition by Liberty Media‘.
Admiration for Álvaro Bautista: ‘I really admire Álvaro who still has this strength, this competitiveness, at his age. He deserves this just for the fact that he trains a lot‘.
The past and the possible future in MotoGP: ‘I gave everything in MotoGP […], in retrospect I could certainly have done much more. […]. Probably being a test rider is something I will do in the future‘.
Possible return after injury: Absent for about a month, Petrucci is recovering and has a goal in mind: ‘I hope to be back in the seat for the Misano tests [May 30 and 31], where I will see if I will be able to participate in the competition weekend in mid-June‘.
