Ducati seems to finally have other manufacturers up to the challenge in the premier class. After the victory in the Sprint and Sunday’s race by Aprilia Racing and the second place achieved by Pedro Acosta for the Red Bull GASGAS Tech3 team, also in Sunday’s race, Ducati may have strong competition in the upcoming MotoGP races.
Gigi Dall’Igna was attentive to these developments and in statements, according to Moto.it, praised the opponents and the race at the Americas GP.
– ‘It was a long and exciting race, lively and vibrant, on one of the most physically demanding tracks. So many duels and overtakes that saw us as protagonists of a race without limits…’
He also added: ‘Congratulations to our opponents, fast and talented riders: it will be a very open challenge for a world championship that promises to be even more exciting and interesting: and so it will be, until the last corner. The championship is long and difficult and there will be ups and downs for everyone. We have to do everything in our power to give our riders the opportunity to give their best. That’s why the next test with Michele (Pirro) in Barcelona will be of great importance: there we will try some changes in the bike setup, which will then be confirmed with the factory riders during the test scheduled for the day after the Jerez Grand Prix. Forza Ducati!’
