A Chinese company has produced a version very close to the style of the Ducati SuperSport 950 S, equipped with a twin-cylinder engine.
Cheap Chinese copies of anything are not a new concept, and motorcycles are no exception. Nevertheless, the example we bring you today is remarkable for its incredible resemblance to another European model.
Welcome everyone to the Ducasu DK400. Even without seeing the photos, the manufacturer being victimized was already guessed by the name.
Yes, it is a “fake” Ducati, which looks very much like the 2017-2021 version of the Ducati SuperSport 950. It is not a reproduction, but it is evident that some work was done here to replicate the Italian model. What makes it even more striking is the brand name and logo, which closely resemble the famous Ducati emblem.
We also particularly like the fact that, in one of the images, the side stand is supported by a pair of books and it looks like there is someone kneeling to hold the bike on the other side…
The brand is one of the few owned by Shanghai Jianshe Motorcycle Technology Company Limited, which has been around since the mid-90s, although Ducasu seems to be a more recent addition to its list.
The Ducasu is content with a two-cylinder 400 cc engine that develops about 25 hp, less than a quarter of the power of the SuperSport with its 937 cc engine.
It is also worth mentioning that Ducati has an official presence in China, so if you live in China, you can easily buy the real Ducasu.
