At the 2025 Makina Moto Expo in the Philippines, CFMoto surprised attendees by announcing the launch of its new sub-brand called CFLite.

This new line represents the Chinese manufacturer’s venture into the more accessible segment, targeting specific global markets including Indonesia, Thailand, and South America. The brand debuted with three distinct motorcycles, each designed for different market segments.

The first model is the 250NK Lite, powered by a 249cc liquid-cooled engine and featuring styling that echoes the CFMoto 250NK design. This is a stripped-down version incorporating conventional suspension, disc brakes on both wheels, and 17-inch rims fitted with CST tyres. Equipment includes LED pilot lights and an LCD display.

The second model, the 250SR Lite, shares aesthetic similarities with the 450SR sold in New Zealand. Like its naked counterpart, it features a 249cc engine capable of reaching 130 km/h. It maintains the same base components but also benefits from LED lighting.

Finally, the CFLite 230 Dual emerges as the most significant model in the range. This dual-purpose motorcycle features rugged styling and a versatile chassis, ideal for riders facing less developed road networks. The 223cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine fed by a carburettor is complemented by 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wheels, both equipped with dual-purpose tyres. The setup includes disc brakes at both ends, telescopic front forks, and a rear mono-shock. Equipment also features a digital display and halogen headlight.

These models position themselves as more economical alternatives to the competition. However, it’s unlikely that CFMoto will introduce the CFLite brand in Australia and New Zealand, with no plans currently announced for the UK or Europe either.
