The CFMOTO has launched some interesting new models at EICMA 2023, however, one that stands out especially for adventure lovers is the MT-X Concept. Clearly inspired by the growing adventure segment, the CFMOTO MT-X Concept is all about off-road performance mixed with top-of-the-line technology.
Since the MT-X Concept is precisely that, a concept, CFMOTO intentionally left a lot of information open regarding its list of specifications. The biggest mystery of all is the engine that will equip this robust machine, however, judging by the images, we can deduce that it is probably an iteration of the 800cc engine found in the 800MT, which later uses KTM technology in the LC8c two-cylinder engine. If this is the case, it is likely to produce close to 100 hp, putting it in the same range of motorcycles as the KTM 890 Adventure and the BMW F 900 GS.
As for the details we know, it is evident that CFMOTO is strongly investing in the brand’s adventure DNA, particularly associated with the MT range. The MT-X concept features a robust fairing inspired by rally models, and an instrument panel that closely resembles the 800MT adventure bike. Additionally, it has a 21-inch front wheel and a very high ground clearance due to the increased suspension travel. In terms of technology, the CFMOTO MT-X Concept receives a full-LED headlight and an eight-inch TFT touchscreen inspired by rally bike navigation towers, for a more realistic and race-inspired experience.
Aside from all this information, we are left with doubts about what the new CFMOTO MT-X Concept has to offer. What we know is that the bike seems to have good off-road performance. At the press conference, the CFMOTO spokesperson stated that the bike will be “available very soon”, so we will have to wait and see if more details are available.
