Brad Binder had his best season since joining MotoGP, finishing in fourth place with 293 points. He stepped onto the podium in five main races and also secured victory in two Sprint races. However, the Red Bull KTM rider doesn’t end the year entirely satisfied.
Asked whether he was pleased with the 2023 season, the South African denied it: ‘Not really. To be honest I expected a lot more this season. I feel we were capable of a lot more, but I’ve made a lot of mistakes and I threw away a lot of opportunities. But, OK. I think it’s life, it can happen – it seems with this new format everyone has made a ton of mistakes’.
With 2023 concluded, Binder now looks ahead to the next season, hopeful for stronger results: ‘I’m really looking forward to get started again next season. We have these months to really build and understanding, trying and find tiny improvements in every area. And I think if we can do that, we can come back next season with everything we need to really fight for some wins’.
