Brad Binder concluded the Aragon test in 11th position after a session dedicated to testing multiple aerodynamic configurations for the KTM RC16. The South African from Red Bull KTM Factory Racing highlighted the diversity of solutions tested and the need for time to assimilate all the modifications implemented on the Austrian machine.

The rider explained the complexity of the work developed during the test. ‘We ran though many aero configurations and it took time to get a sense of them all’, stated Binder, underlining the technical demands of the session.

The variety of solutions tested by the four KTM riders created a significant volume of data for analysis. ‘There was a lot between all four of us and now the test teams will go through it and will try to build each rider a package’, explained Binder.

Binder acknowledged that the session’s intensity, with so many modifications tested, made careful subsequent analysis necessary. ‘Such a busy day throwing many things onto the bike so now we need that full check for the best options’, he observed.

Binder’s experience as a KTM reference rider was fundamental in guiding the RC16’s development. His technical feedback, combined with that of the other riders, will provide the team with a solid foundation for future decisions regarding machine configurations.
