Brad Binder may not have set the fastest lap on the last day of MotoGP testing in Sepang, but he certainly showed speed – literally. The Red Bull KTM rider had the highest top speed (338.5km/h) and the highest average top speed (338km/h).
Asked whether this record can be explained by braking, the engine, or aerodynamics, the South African said that there are no certainties, but nevertheless downplayed the data:
– I’m not sure. I saw that my fastest top speed was on my first flying lap in the morning when the grip was good, it was cool and fresh. I didn’t look at the top speed after that. But we have some speed.
