The MotoGP test day at Mugello has come to an end, which was little or not at all useful for riders and teams. Rain appeared in the early hours of the morning, so few laps were completed. Brad Binder was the fastest, while Miguel Oliveira finished in ninth place.
It was on his fifth lap that the South African from Red Bull KTM set the time that remained at the top all day: 1m47.617s. Pedro Acosta (Red Bull GasGas Tech3/KTM) was second by 0.033s, while Luca Marini (Repsol Honda) was third over a second behind – completing the most laps, 41.
The top five was completed by Jack Miller (Red Bull KTM) and Joan Mir (Repsol Honda). As for Oliveira (Trackhouse Racing/Aprilia), he only completed seven laps and finished ninth, 10.655s off the pace.
Five riders did not even take to the track, including Enea Bastianini, Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati), and Jorge Martín (Prima Pramac/Ducati). Marc Márquez (Gresini/Ducati) only completed two laps, none of them timed.
